LED Utility Trailer Lights

These days we hear a lot about the LED lights and there’s a reason. They are far superior to the old incandescent style bulbs. There are plenty of reasons why LED utility trailer lights are superior are a much wiser choice for replacements.

LED is short for light emitting diode although you’ll seldom hear them referred to as anything other than LED.

This is the latest and greatest technology when it comes to lighting. There is no comparison with the LED to the traditional incandescent bulb that has been used for as long as we can remember.

They operate on totally different concepts. An LED does not have a brittle metal filament that is susceptible to vibration or shock which causes it to dye. Instead an LED is a solid state piece where there is no moving parts it uses an electronic chip that has an epoxy coating.

This coating makes gives it a protective seal that doesn’t allow foreign objects to penetrate thus making it extremely durable. Combine that with the fact that vibration doesn’t bother it and you’ve got a bulb meant to last.

And last they do! With a life expectancy of around 100,000 hours compared to the 3000 hours of a regular bulb. That’s quite a difference isn’t it? In fact a standard LED light will last for a whopping 20 years. Have you seen any incandescent bulbs that old?

LED lights are also very energy efficient 90% less power than a regular incandescent bulb does so the load on your battery or alternator is much less.

LED lights are measured with a bin or alpha number. The higher the number is the higher the intensity of the light. If you want a brighter bulb you will need to buy a higher number.

Another benefit is the fact that LED lights do not generate any heat so they are always cool to touch. It also means you can leave them on for hours without ever worrying about them heating up.

Isn’t it time you moved into the 21st century using LED utility trailer lights to replace your existing bulbs?
